Falling Leaves – Käpylä

Pohjolankatu / Mäkelänkatu – Käpylä

As the leaves start to fall and autumn draws in, it brings with it vibrant colours. Pohjolankatu in Käpylä is well suited to autumn photography as it has old wooden houses which compliment the colours of the falling leaves.
The sun will set at 19.06, so, at 18.00 when we meet up, the sun should be shining along Pohjolankatu adding a golden glow to the already golden leaves. This, off-course, depends on the weather for that evening.
If we are feeling energetic, a short walk will also take us to Taivaskallio, which served as an Aircraft Battery during the second world war. Taivaskallio was also the highest point in Helsinki from 1905 – 1946
To end our session, in true HECC fashion, we will meet up at Päätön Kana pub at the corner of Pohjolankatu
