HECC August Meetup – Mountain Biking Photography Class

Get ready for an action-packed evening of outdoor photography! This month we’re diving into mountain biking – capturing the speed, energy, and atmosphere of the sport.

We’ll be working with two experienced riders, so you’ll get plenty of chances to practice shooting fast-moving subjects out in nature. Along the way, we’ll chat about:

  • How to work effectively with athletes

  • Staying safe while shooting outdoors and on trails

  • Techniques like panning, lifestyle/documentary shots, and creative compositions

  • How to bring together the rider, the action, and the environment in one great image

We’ll meet at the corner of Paciuksenkatu and Meilahdentie and then walk to a nearby location.

Gear tip: Bring a wide-angle lens for big, environmental shots and a 70-200mm for action and compression.
