City Lights

We will meet at the Lasipalatsi on Mannerheimintie at the BioRex end at 18.00. Sunset will happen around 18.30 so we can shoot the blue hour.

Lasipalatsi is probably Helsinki´s most iconic functionalist building from the 1930´s with the BioRex and the Café signs bright against a dark background could make for some dramatic images. From the other side of the street, we can make light streaks as the evening traffic goes by.

After Lasipalatsi we can walk a couple of hundred meters to the Torni Hotel which is also great looking in the evening as it is well illuminated. If anyone is interested in going to the bar at the top of the hotel, some fantastic panoramas can be obtained from the viewing balcony ( not sure if you must buy a drink or wether they will let you just go to the balcony????)

When the bewitching hour of 20.00 falls upon us, we shall meet-up in John Scott´s Bar in Arkadia for the H.E.C.C. traditional end of shoot drink. I would suggest Torni Ateljee Bar but I think most of us are not millionaires (not a joke, it really is expensive).
